Citrus Production
Marema Citrus Estate has planted over 277,000 citrus trees across 1,000 hectares, consisting of Turkey Valencia, Mid-knight Valencia, Bennie Valencia, and Eureka Lemon varieties.
These species thrive under Beitbridge’s climatic conditions, offering harvest longevity of up to 60 years.
Fish Farming
Our aquaculture unit consists of 8 fishponds and 7 floating cages, with a total capacity of 3,500 tilapia per pond/cage, contributing to both local consumption and regional trade.

Crop Production
We grow a variety of high-value crops under pivot and micro-jet irrigation systems:
- Maize

- Butternuts
- Vegetables (Tomatoes, Cabbages, Leafy Greens, Onions, Garlic)
Our produce serves both local and export markets, with an increasing focus on value addition such as wheat flour and maize meal processing.
Irrigation & Water Infrastructure
Marema uses state-of-the-art irrigation systems, powered by water pumped from Zhovhe Dam through 315mm and 500mm pipelines, supplying both pivots and micro-jets for efficient water management and optimal yield performance.
The estate operates a zero-grazing system, housing:
- 42 kraals (250 cattle each)
- 1,500 cattle under a feedlot program
- 600 sheep
- 500 goats
- 1,000 chickens
We prioritize animal health through regular dipping, vaccination, and balanced nutrition programs.
